Almost three decades later, with 130 employees, the major difference between United Graphics, Inc. and its competitors is still our commitment to a positive, aggressive attitude... to Quality... to Service... to Value.
At first serving just the immediate area's printing needs, United Graphics, Inc. grew to a commercial printing company selling and servicing the College and University Markets. Commercial College Markets are based on low bid situations, sometimes having hundreds of bidders for the same project. Stepping into this competitive environment by controlling overhead and all other costs has primed us for our current market, Book Manufacturing.
We are progressing in additional capabilities as well; however, we see Book Manufacturing as being the niche that will enable us to meet our long-term goals. Our current customer base is largely comprised of publishers that are geographically spread across the United States.
United Graphics, Inc. has a customer support team comprised of both outside salespeople and internal Customer Service Representatives (CSRs). Our CSRs are customer specific, meaning that you have one point of contact to help with questions, planning, etc. This single point of contact ensures that your needs are represented accurately by someone who knows your job intimately and can effectively communicate your needs to the rest of the plant. Striving to understand your needs and accommodate them to the best of our ability enables us to develop relationships with our customers.

We add approximately nine new accounts each month and are growing at a steady rate of 10% per year. At this rate, we are able to maintain both the quality demands of our customers as well as the needs of our employees. We feel that a company can grow too quickly, overwhelming its staff and reducing quality to its customers. By maintaining a steady climb, United Graphics, Inc. is able to ensure that its supply of quality printing services to you is uninterrupted.
All manufacturing takes place at our Mattoon, Illinois plant. We are equipped so that all normal functions required to produce books are in one location. For your convenience, we have several sales team members located in offices around the country.
