UV Coating is a clear, glossy liquid spread over the paper like ink and then cured instantly with ultraviolet light. It is generally applied as an overall (flood) coating but can be applied as a spot coating for mailing applications where variable data addressing will be used. UV coating gives more protection and sheen than either varnish or aqueous coating.
